BLOCK OF THE MONTH
2010
It's All About Scraps
Welcome to the new Block of the month adventure. Judy Garden and Bonnie Storms have designed a quilt just for YOU. A unique, one of a kind quilt. Bonnie promises that it will be fun and interesting.
Each month you will be surprised. Not all of the blocks are the same size. Some months you will do two, other months, just one. Many techniques include more than one option. For example: A paper-pieced block also gives directions for traditional piecing, and anything applique can be done by hand, or machine or fused, if you prefer.
It's a scrap quilt, plus a mystery you see. So if you've been groaning about how to get rid of your scraps, or all of those fat quarters you have lovingly collected, then this is the answer.
Beginners, as well as experienced quilters, will enjoy making this beautiful quilt. And both Judy and Bonnie are happy to answer any questions you may have.
The size, with borders, will be NAP size. That's big enough to cover you to your chin and over your toes. Just perfect for snuggling under for a nap or to read all of those great books which we quilters never have time for.
Each time you bring your completed blocks to a guild meeting, your name will go into a draw for a beautiful fatquarter....which may be just the fabric you'll want to use in the next month's block.
The pattern and instructions for "It's All About Scraps" are not available on-line so you will need to pick them up at the next meeting, or have a friend get them for you, if you are unable to attend.
The adventure begins....
