About Us
Our History
Founded in 1989 by Ruth Brown, to meet a growing interest in quilting in
Belleville and its surrounding area. The QQG is a diverse group consisting of both award-winning artists as well as many new to the quilt world.
With a dedication to support its members interests, the guild has provided many stimulating workshops, trunk shows and lectures with a variety of teachers and speakers and continues to challenge its members to pursue
their quilting passions.
Since its inception, the Quinte Quilters Guild has supported many community endeavours through raffles and donations, both monetary and material. It has also undertaken quilt shows which have showcased the dedication and talent of its membership. A quilt show is held every three years.

Show and Tell
The members share their talents and ideas by bringing in our projects to show
when we choose to do so. It is a way to give inspiration and to show others
what members have been working on.
Friendship Quilters
We are often asked about “friendship quilts.", What are they? Who makes them? Where are they made? In QQG, friendship quilts are known as
quilts made for people in need or those who are ill in the community. They are distributed through various organizations in and around the city of Belleville. There is a need for quilts year-round for warmth,
comfort and for a feeling someone cares.
